There's no word yet on how Wake Island fared from taking a direct hit from Super-Typhoon Ioke. The island atoll was expected to be completely submerged as the storm pushed water over the top of the low-lying island.
The U.S. Navy and Air Force are sending units to assess the damage to the island and to see if the waters have receded.
Should be interesting to see.
