Man Kills Himself Over Bush Victory at Ground Zero

Yesterday there was a report of a man who was so despondent over Kerry’s loss to Bush that he killed himself at Ground Zero in New York.

I don’t understand this at all. What kind of conditions existed in this man’s life that he felt life had no meaning anymore with Bush’s victory on Election Day? This is almost beyond belief. Did he not realize that eventually Bush will have to leave office due to the 22nd Amendment term-limiting the President?

Democracy will survive any President that comes along.

What is at stake, libs, is not democracy, but our interpretation of what democracy is. The modern liberal interpretation took a beating on Election Day, because it doesn't represent mainstream America anymore. It lost because the man who represented it was more concerned about getting Bush out than for representing the people who he claimed to represent.

So when someone puts a 12 gauge shotgun to his head and pulls the trigger over a lost election, that's rampant emotionalism overriding common sense. That's not a disaster for democracy. That's a disaster for that man's family and friends.

This was a man who was preparing to get married. It just doesn't make any sense.
